Slot car racing is suitable for a wide range of ages bringing young and old racing fans together. Although introduced during the 1950's Scalextric is utilising the latest digital technology nowadays. 'Five and out' light starts, lane changing, pace cars, tyre wear, pitstops, multi-cars, variable weather conditions make Scalextric slot racing super exciting! All controlled via wireless 'rumble' controllers or even via smart phones and tablets.
Scalextric Digital opens up a new world of racing up to six cars on a single track. This easy fit chip of the plug & play type is designed for converting standard system cars to digital. Most Scalextric slot cars produced from 2007 onwards are fitted with a digital ready slot (DPR) in which this chip can be installed with ease. No need for soldering or modelling expertise.
To convert a DPR car: 1. Unscrew the panel on the base of the car and disconnect the braid-to-motor wiring plug. 2. Connect the F1 EasyFit Digital Plug to the braid-to-motor wiring plug. 3. Replace the retaining screw to secure the EasyFit Digital Plug to the chassis.
